Relationship between the number of postoperative days until C-reactive protein levels decreased to < 1.0 mg/L and the comprehensive risk score (CRS) (a) or acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) II score: (b). Correlations were observed between APACHE II and the number of postoperative days until CRP levels decreased to < 1.0 mg/L (r = 0.43, p < 0.05).
