The amount of detected CO2 increases over a 20-minute period when individuals are present in an OR with an air circulation system operating at a level of approximately 20 ACH and a positive pressure of 0.03 in. H2O (left). As the number of individuals in the room increases, the amount of detected CO2 increases. Upon exit, the CO2 level rapidly decreases. A graph showing the change in the level of CO2 as a function of the number of occupants is presented on the right. Data shown are for sensor 2. See S7 for sensor 1 data
