  1. Values for the Karnofsky index and Takahashi score are given as median values (interquartile range IQR). Ambulatory capacity is demonstrated by number of patients with different categories of mobility before and after surgery. Walking capacity was not evaluated in one patient after endoprothetic reconstruction and in three patients after intramedullary nailing, because of progressive disease and early postoperative death.
